Maintenance Tips
  • Clean Lens & Housing Gently
Use a soft microfiber cloth to wipe the lens and exterior regularly—this preserves sharp 1080p video and reliable autofocus/zoom performance.

  • Inspect Video Connections
Check 3G‑SDI and HDMI BNC/Type‑A cables and connectors frequently to ensure stable signal output during live production.

  • Check PTZ Movement & Presets
Exercise pan (≈340°), tilt (≈120°), and zoom functions routinely to keep motors smooth and avoid stiction. Save and test presets to ensure quick, accurate recalls.

  • Update and Back Up Firmware
Use the USB or serial interface to update firmware when available—this can improve control stability and compatibility with controllers.

  • Maintain Proper Ventilation
Keep air vents unobstructed and avoid enclosing the camera in tight, hot spaces to reduce heat buildup.

  • Secure Mounting & Stable Power
Tighten mounts/brackets for wall/ceiling installation and use a surge protector or UPS to protect against power spikes.

  • Organize Control Cabling
Ensure RS‑232/RS‑422 or IR remote wiring doesn’t tug or stress ports, which helps maintain reliable PTZ control.

  • Optimize Image Settings Periodically
Re‑calibrate exposure, white balance, and focus based on lighting conditions for consistent image quality.
